I have audacity 2.3.0.0.

Hello Dear Fellow Thinkers,

I have audacity version 2.3.0.0. installed on my computer running Windows 7.

I also have lame mp3 installed. I think that the layout and menu specifiers differ from previous versions of Audacity. When I import my Russian song into Audacity, two stereo tracks with wave patterns appear. Then I click on  Stereo tracks split and then I select the bottom track. Then I go to effects and click Invert. Then I have to click mono to the right of the tracks but there is no mono indicated in the Menu drop-down list. On the video's that are shown on internet, mono wants to be indicated in the drop down list. If I can't click mono , I can also not remove the vocals. What should I do?

Sincerely,

Slavik :?:

The current version is 2.3.1, and it is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/

Are you trying to do "vocal removal"? If so, then the much quicker way is to use the "Vocal Remover" effect: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/vocal_remover.html
There is also a more "advanced" version called "Vocal Reduction and Isolation": https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/voc ... ation.html

About splitting and joining stereo tracks (in Audacity 2.3.1), see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spl ... racks.html
