Audacity 222,Win.10

Post by meobeou » Mon Jan 21, 2019 3:44 am

Hi, I am getting a blue line and noise instead of what should be coming through USB when I record through mixer.I am using UCA222 USB interface into Win.10 Lap Top.(Pavillion).I had previously tried a downloaded version from a Disc which gave me the same problem (an earlier version of Audacity). So then I downloaded the Audacity 222 version. When recording without USB connection I get the same line and noise ...though a lot quieter.

Can you help.

Lee!

Audacity 222 version
There is no such version of Audacity.
The current version of Audacity is 2.3.0 and it is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/

What are you recording via the UCA 222? Where is the sound coming from?
If you plug your headphones into the UCA 222. can you hear whatever it is that you are trying to record?

Hi, I am getting a blue line and noise instead of what should be coming through USB when I record through mixer.
You've got a mixer plugged into the UCA222? Are you sure you've got a signal coming out of the mixer?

Make sure you've selected the USB device as your Recording Device.
When recording without USB connection I get the same line and noise ...though a lot quieter.
Without the USB connection??? ...How are you connected or what are you trying to record that way?
