The newest version of Audacity I downloaded this morning, but immediately after trying to play a previously recorded project and hearing the garbled sound, I immediately reinstalled an older version and it works fine.
Need something done about this new version, as it doesn't work very well - garbled sound on playback.

Re: Audacity 2.3.0 Playing Garbled Sound
Re your old version of Audacity:
Which version is it?
What settings do you have in the device toolbar?
What is the sample rate of the track that you are recording (look in the panel on the left end of the track)
What is the format of the track (for example "Stereo 44100Hz")
Same questions for the 2.3.0 version - if you are unsure, please try it again and ensure the settings are the same as your old version.
