I am running windows 10 and Audacity 2.3.0
I am attempting to amend the Microphone USB Audio Codec properties in Windows to match the settings in Audacity ie 2 channel stereo 48000 Hz
When I ask my PC to Apply these changes, the system says that the device is being used by another application The setting is currently set to default of 1 channel 44100 (CD Quality)
I am recording from a USB link for a Pro-ject turntable. Their manual recommends 2 channel, 16 bit 48000Hz (DVD Quality) Obviously my turntable is providing stereo output
There is no other application running as far as I can ascertain

Re: Codec settings
Unfortunately, Microsoft has made it more difficult to set the recording device properties. This worked for me: viewtopic.php?p=361092#p361092
