Truncation Silence But Adding Silence Back

Post by hbea » Wed Dec 26, 2018 4:53 am

There is an Effects/Truncate Silence option which is great to remove unwanted silence from the raw recording. But is there a way to replace the truncated sections back with a default amount of silence, say 1 second? I want to record many sentences (at my own pace) and with arbitrary amounts of "silence" between the sentences and then come back and convert it to just 1 or 1.5 seconds of silence between sentences. Is this possible?

There is an "extend silence" plugin for Audacity, see ... viewtopic.php?p=247774#p247774
