My project is getting cumbersome. I don’t see the “delete orphaned files” dialog box on opening the project. Can I get to that anytime I choose? Or should I just “save as” and continue? Will “save as” delete or save the orphaned files? I just want to rid the project of unused data.
For a normal project, Audacity will clean up data files that are no longer used when Audacity is closed, so there should be no orphan files.
What is the actual problem? Is it just that the project is big, or are you seeing messages about orphan files? If the latter please describe precisely what you are doing and what is happening.
This 6 minute project is up to 16 tracks now. The functions are delayed.
