Hello,
As I was using audacity (2.3.0) on my computer (Windows 10) I tried to apply the high pass filter to a track, however i got an error notification stating "Nyquist has returned the price:1"(excuse me if the error message is not 100% correctly translated as i am using audacity in greek) and the high pass filter isnt functioning.Can anybody help me with this?

Try this:
1) Close Audacity
2) Go to the hidden folder: Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\ and find the files: pluginregistry.cfg and pluginsettings.cfg
3) Delete the two files: pluginregistry.cfg and pluginsettings.cfg
4) Launch Audacity and test the High Pass filter.
