click removal error

When I did a preview of the Audacity click removal of a narration, before running the algorithm, I got this message: "Algorithm not effective on this audio. Nothing changed."
What should I do?

Does your recording have clicks that need to be removed?

Yes, there are clicks.

Do you know why there are clicks? If you are getting a lot of clicks you should be looking to fix the problem that is causing the clicks.

That message is telling you that the effect was unable to find the clicks. That is not unusual because it is a very simple click detection algorithm and is only effective with certain types of clicks. See these links for alternative ways to deal with clicks:
