How to save an edited track in a project

Hi,

Can some one please let me know how to save an edited track in a project with Audacity 2.3.0 on Windows?

The project has multiple tracks. After one track is edited, how can we save this modified track to a *.wav file? My understanding is that saving the whole project will not save tracks. And "Export" will mix all tracks and create one file that includes all tracks (so Export cannot be used to save one modified track).

Thanks & regards,
Lee

Select the track by clicking just right of the up arrow.

File > Export > Export Selected Audio...

Actually, it does, but it saves everything in Project form.

Try it. Save your show as a different name. Saving a Project is intended for times when you want to pause editing a complex show and have to shut down. You are warned Audacity Projects do not save UNDO when you do that.
