Can we add echo effect during record?

Hi,

Just wondering... can Audacity 2.2.2 add echo effect during record?

I used to have a mic that could add echo effect. Not sure if Audacity could do it.

Audacity does not apply effects in real-time, (a/k/a live), but other similar free-softwares can ...

Before you get excited about that, nobody can take echo effects out. So if this is a live event presentation that's one thing, but if you are recording this for post production, you have to hit the quality and settings exactly right. The process is particularly difficult if you have to match two different clips or segments.

It's not an accident that Audacity won't do this.
