Whenever I “Apply Chain” it makes the audio muffled or distorted, but when I do each step manually it sounds fine. I am using Audacity 2.2.2 on Windows 8.1

It is for any and all chains. Specifically one of the chains is compressor>equalization x2>SPITFISH de-esser>Limiter>reverb. Its purpose is to make voices more clear. This same chain was working fine a few weeks ago.
