USB Driver

Post by abagail242 » Thu Aug 23, 2018 11:49 pm

I run Windows 10. When inserting my USB cord from my turntable, I get a msg "USB Device Not Recognized" . "Unknown USB Device Descriptor Request Failed". Has anyone else encountered this and do you have a fix?

This is not really an Audacity problem.
The first thing I'd try is doing a full system shut-down and reboot.

Did it ever work? If it did, then you could try rolling back to a restore point from before it broke.

If it never worked, or if you don't have any restore points, try searching Google for "Unknown USB Device Descriptor Request Failed" - there are many suggestions of things to try.

You may need to load a driver supplied by the turntable manufacturer.
