Best Choice of "Audio Host"

Is there a preferred "Audio Host" mode when recording stereo audio using a USB-connected Focusrite or Behringer analog-to-digital converter? For this question, assume that the appropriate driver is installed for each converter and that it is selected as the Recording Device.

P.S. Windows 7 or 10, Audacity 2.2.2

WASAPI is the newest and MME is the oldest. If WASAPI works I'd use it. Here is some information I ran-across awhile back.
