Hi all:
Lloyd here with Audacity 2.2.2 on a Windows 10 PC. All I want to do is speed up a recording of plain text so I can quickly search for a cough or a dog barking in the background. I want to play it at 1.5 to 2X the play speed and just listen to it. I know there's a way to do this but I can't find it. Perhaps I'm somewhat dense, but could someone please translate the manual's paragraph on SEEKING into English. Many thanks.
Lloyd.

Re: Increasing playback speed
The Transcription Toolbar adjusts playback speed within Audacity. (It doesn't edit/alter the audio file.)
