Track Splitting

Post by bwood_4161 » Sun Jun 03, 2018 6:12 am

Hi I'm an Audacity(v2.2.2) newbie and I am using to copy vinyl LPs to computer then eventually to disc. For my first test I recorded the whole side of an LP and saved as one Audacity project and therefore exported as one MP3 file. Is it possible to split the one single track (LP side) into the individual tracks, or do I have to repeat the process, but this time separately record and save each track? I see that I can cut or copy and paste, but can I copy a selected part (track) and paste it as a new project? If so how? Thanks in advance!
