Why not just move the message from one thread to the other?
That way kingstonp would know mp3 import works and what I did to make it happen.

Thanks for contributing to the topic but I don't understand the relevance of your contribution to kingstonp at the point you submitted it.

If you read the topic (between the lines) you'll see that on Mon Jan 13, 2014 at 11:58 am kingstonp had already been able to configure LAME so they could export. Their issue was then that they wanted to put a dot in the filename (which most of the rest of the topic is about) and that they wanted to overwrite the file. Your post does not address those issues.
