Speech to Text

I have an MP3 file that I want to convert to text. There's some free software and virtual audio cables available, but I'm concerned about safety. Does Audacity have a solution? Any suggestions? I can play the file and capture it well with my iPhone from my PC speaker, but it's awkward because you need to restart a recording over and over.
