Pitch changing for only 1 instrument

Post by skinnyboy » Tue May 12, 2009 9:55 pm

I have a piano-and-voice recording. At one point, the singer holds a note with heavy vibrato for about 6 seconds. For the first half second or so, she is underpitch. Is there a way to raise that section without:
(1) creating clicks or other obvious editing sounds?
(2) affecting the tone of the piano in that section?

Only if the piano and the vocal are recorded on different tracks, otherwise no.

Yes.

Changing the pitch isn't the job. Pitch Change is careful work with the appropriate tools. Separating the voice from the piano is the impossible part.

No.
