Analysing Sounds

Post by Johnny U » Fri Oct 27, 2017 8:44 am

Hi, I'm hoping one of you guys can help me...

I'm probably overlooking something really basic, but I'm looking to use Audacity to analyse the frequency of a certain noise / noises. I'm sure there must be a way, but am struggling to find it - and none of the FAQ or help menu topics seem to point to anything as basic.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,

John.

The two main tools in Audacity for frequency analysis are:
Track Spectrogram view: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spec ... _view.html
Plot Spectrum: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/plot_spectrum.html
9/10 questions are answered in the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
