Hi, my first post so my apologies if this is in the wrong forum group.

Can anyone tell me if the Steinberg UR242 usb interface will work with Audacity 2.1.3 on Win 8.1?
Steinberg say its compatible with ASIO, Core Audio and WDM standards but I don't know if Audacity is one of these.

Audacity supports WDM on Windows and Core Audio on Mac.
Audacity cannot ship with ASIO support due to licensing issues.

Note that some devices require ASIO to access all the features and provide only basic stereo in / out with WDM. Audacity is entirely dependent on the sound card drivers.
