If I understand it correctly then I would plug the UCA-202 into both of the Aux send jacks if I wanted to record in stereo and would level things out from channel to channel using the red gain knobs, pushing the 'pre' button for jack #1 in each column/channel. Then if I wanted to raise or lower the input into Audacity without affecting the sound levels playing into the speakers, I would use the main gain knobs for the Aux outputs, (labeled #1 & #1 in red on the pic of the mixer).
Yes that would be the idea. I would plan to do some testing to make sure it all behaves the way you expect. Also note that if you have a performer that wants to take advantage of the effects processor in that box that will consume Aux2 bus -- and further more if you were trying to record the show you'll be missing the effects in the final product (which might be a good thing depending on what they are doing.)

That's the term Behringer uses in their manual. I think either name gets the idea across.

Be there for the shoot.

My two sound jobs that went straight into the dirt were the two where I couldn't be there.

Words to the wise.

I hope that includes me.

I was wishing for both of those. At least I was able to be there for the first one. Another tip would probably be to allot enough time to set it all up & troubleshoot if need be before the crowd begins showing up.

Thanks again for all of the help everybody.

Our Pastor said he may set up a discussion with the company that installed the system and include me in that discussion. Hopefully we can figure out where I could connect in & record the direct feeds from all of the microphones & instruments with one unit.

Your information and suggestions should go a long way in providing a big improvement in any recording for the next time(s).
