Loss of sound in media player

Post by t4763rb » Tue Jan 20, 2009 2:55 am

I am in the process of converting cassette recordings to mp3s through audacity. After converting I export the file as an mp3. When I attempt to play the mp3 through media player there is no audio. It shows that a file is present but does not play it. I can play other mp3s with no problem. I attempted exporting it as a wav file with the same results. There are no error messages just no audio. There is no visualization showing so I know that it's not just an instance of the file playing with no sound. Any thoughts?

<<<After converting >>>

Let's look at what happened between the cassette machine and the computer. How did you do that?
