Use "Mix and Render" in chains

Post by Beethoven » Sat Dec 13, 2014 10:58 am

Hi,
this is my first post and already a request for a new feature :D

I have tons of muti channel wave files which i need to convert
to stereo wave files.

Would it be possible to make the "Mix and Render" command
available for chains ?

I'm working with Windows 7

Mix and Render is not an effect so it can't be added to Chains.

I don't know if you have tried Chains on your multi-channel files already, but there is a bug in Chains that means the export will be mono unless you convert the first two tracks from Left and Right to stereo. That can't be done when applying a Chain to files.

So I suggest you use some other converter application like http://www.dbpoweramp.com/. This will be much quicker than waiting to import the waveforms of files in Audacity.
