hey there... i have a wav file looking like this and wonder if audacity can help me reducing the "noise" and extract the "rest"



can I somehow reduce the obvious loud noise going to more or less +/-0,85 to get the sound "above"?

Probably not with the current Noise Removal effect, though someone is currently working on that effect and it may provide a effect closer to what you want when they have completed their work.
