I have 3 tracks I've recorded.
They are all in the same Audacity file.

I want to make a 4th track that concatenates tracks 1,2,3 one after the other.
What is the easiest way to do this without having to fine tune select/paste with a damn mouse?

I'm not sure if you're asking how to do the entire operation without using a mouse, or how to select the entire contents of a track.

If the latter, just click on the track control panel and the entire track will be selected. Then do Edit > Copy.

For pasting into the new track, first do Tracks > Add New > Audio Track (or Stereo Track, depending ...).

When pasting in the contents of track 1, first click anywhere in the 4th track to select it then just do Edit > Paste.

When pasting in the contents of tracks 2 and 3, first click anywhere in the 4th track to select it, click on the "Skip to End" button in the Transport Toolbar (or press the "k" key), then Edit > Paste.

You can do the entire operation without using the mouse, using the up-arrow and down-arrow keys to move between tracks, the enter key to select track contents, the k key to move to the end of a track, and the standard keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste. See Selecting Using the Keyboard .

I presume that you want to "replace" the three tracks with the 4th track?

Assuming that you are using the current 2.0.6 version of Audacity...

1) Ctrl + A (select all)
2) Tracks menu > Align tracks > Align end to end.
3) Tracks menu > Mix and Render.
