Hello everyone,
thank you audacity and the forumers.
Helping process please. After recording session with a H1 Handy Recorder, one track with many chapters, I don't find access to work with it on Audacity.
It appears on the Audacity track, but trying to make cut and montage, it appear that message:
" Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate."
I don't know what to do, don't know yet those words and their applications.
Thank you!
Vincent

That means that Audacity is unable to access the sound card that it is currently set to use.
Click on "Help > Audio Device Info", wait a moment for the information to appear, then copy and paste the information into your reply.
Also:
What settings do you currently have set in the
device toolbar?
How do you listen to sounds on the computer? (example, headphones plugged into the headphone socket on the side of my laptop PC).
What operating system are you using? (Example: Windows 7 Home edition)
Which version of Audacity are you using? (Example: Audacity 2.0.5 - see "Help > About Audacity" for the exact version number)

The problem is that your computer is reporting that there is no capture (recording) device available.
Even if you're not recording, Audacity requires a fully functional audio device (playback and recording).
Go into the
Windows Sound Control Panel and enable an input device - it doesn't matter which one (unless you actually want to record something) as long as there is one.

Merci, j'ai été sur le lien que vous avez fourni, mais les explications sont en anglais, et dès la première ligne je ne vois pas, System Tray, Control Panel, je ne sais pas ce que c'est,
pouvez-vous m'aider?
