I use the "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift" tool a lot and would very much like to have a shortcut icon to the tool in the upper toolbar. Clicking on "Effect," scrolling down to the tool in the list, and then clicking on the tool may not seem much of a labor; but when editing several tracks in a large project, the steps do become laborious.
Actually, having the capacity to create a shortcut to any tool would be a delight, even if limited to creating only three (interchangeable) shortcut icons.
How about a customizable toolbar?

Audacity doesn't have that, but it does allow you to set up keyboard shortcuts for effects: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/ke ... ences.html
