Blumlein Panning

Hey, ive got a stereo ribbon mic, and i was wondering how to properly pan the stereo track. Can I just split the stereo track into L and R and adjust the L and R faders next to the track, then mix and render them back together?

Just use the track "pan" slider (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... s.html#pan)
It ceases to be a Blumlein pair if the gains are not precisely matched, but it will still pan the sound.
