Chain Help

Hi guys,

So I have a whole bunch of stereo wav files I wish to convert to mono and export (over the original files in the same bitrate etc wav format). I have tried investigating chains to do these in batch but have had no luck finding a function for it. Can anyone help?

I don't think Audacity Chains is stable enough to do that. The problem with saving a file over itself is the risk of destroying the original and the production since they're both open for a time. If Audacity goes down during that interval, that's the end of the show -- unless you're keeping archival backups
