I'm searching for a way to cut many sections out of a track, which in essence is simple, with Delete. But instead of a pure cut, I'd like the deleted sections to fade-out for 0.5 sec and then fade-in for 0.5 sec. So that it is clear to the listener, in a gentle way, that there was a cut.
Can Audacity do this natively? Or is there any plug-in for this?
Cutting sections with fade-out fade-in?

Envelope Tool http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/envelope_tool.html .
Or if you want to do it using the keyboard, install Text Envelope which is a Nyquist plug-in. See here for installation instructions http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Downl ... g_Plug-ins .
