Output Issues

Post by mpap » Thu Apr 25, 2013 5:19 pm

I am new to Audacity and am fairly inexperienced with the audio world.
I am preparing a set of stimuli to be used in an experiment (frog calls) and am trying to play from 3 different calls from 3 different speakers at one time. I have split the track to mono, so that the first two parts play from different speakers (the normal left and right).
I added a track that I would like to play simultaneously, but I do not know how to change the output so that the third portion plays from a third speaker (through an external sound card).
Is it possible to change the preferences so that the third part can play from a separate speaker?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Megan

Unfortunately Audacity currently supports a maximum of 2 output channels. However, if you have another application that supports multi-channel playback, you can export multi-channel files from Audacity http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/ad ... tions.html
