Combining Tracks, Help!

Post by bdraper1 » Sat Feb 11, 2012 2:38 am

Could someone please explain to me how to combine multiple tracks into one? I'm trying to clean up some of the clutter. I have 3 guitar tracks which are just bits and pieces of what is really one track. Can I combine them? Thanks.

Tracks will be automatically "mixed down" when you Export from Audacity.

Assuming that you are using a recent version of Audacity 1.3.x you can also, you can mix down tracks within a project by selecting the tracks, then use "Mix and Render" from the "Tracks" menu.

For more information about "Audacity Selection" see here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Audacity_Selection

If you need to upgrade to Audacity 1.3.14 you can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/
