This thread grew from, and intertwined with, a simpler feature request thrad started by Koz reagarding the L&R labelling of the channels of a stereo pair: "Waveform display: Minor Graphic Change".
I have turned that FR into a full proposal on the Wiki (and extended that proposal to include further suggested improvements to the Vertical Scale) - see: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Propo ... provements.
I have retained this part of the thread and moved it here to Audio Processing.
