Loop Play at a faster speed.

Post by LSA2013 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 7:22 pm

I want to loop play something, but using the "Play-at-speed" feature. I can get the pitch and speed individually and then just loop it with the changes made, but I was checking to see if there was a shortcut to that. I'm very new to Audacity, I just downloaded it a week ago so if I posted this in the wrong section I'm sorry.

By "Play at Speed" I presume that you mean using the "Transcription Toolbar" http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tran ... on_Toolbar
This feature does not have the ability to loop.
However, you can change the speed using the "Change Speed" effect (Effect menu) and then use Loop Play (Shift+Space). If you want to undo the speed change, select "Undo" from the Edit menu, or use Ctrl+Z.

yes that's what I meant, I just didn't know the name of it. Thank you for clarifying this, I will experiment to try and get the same sound.
