At the bottom of the "Transport" menu -
Set "Overdub" to "on" (selected)
Set "Software Playthrough" to "off" (not selected).

exactly "Phone Line" or perhaps does it say "Line In?"
Are you using an English installation of Audacity or is it installed in another language?

i am trying to uninstall audacity from my old computer then i am going to put it on my new computer but i cannot delete it from my old computer how do i do this
