removing background beats?
I am trying to put together a techno song, I have the beat I want already done, but the words need to come from another song, is there a way to rip out the background beat or atleast make it very low?

No.
You can get close to number 2 with the Center Pan Removal tool, but most people don't like the restrictions associated with that tool. You end up with a mono show, leaky singer stereo effects, and no drums.
