Although a newby, I have been able up to now to do marvellous things digitizing old recordings with Audacity – thanks to the Audacity team!!!
But now I need help: I'm editing a badly scratched recording – some of the big, obvious scratches I have cancelled out manually, but there are many more strong ones and they seem to be "embedded" inside the music so that I cannot recognize them, even using the zoom... WHAT DO I DO NOW?
Thanks in advance for any hint!

Re: Removing Scratches
I used to do this manually using zooming in and the excellent repair tool in Audacity v1.3 - but eventually I got bored so found a piece of s/w to do the job for me - it costs US$40 - but it is well worth it I think.
