Removing click track
If I use a click track while recording to stay within a beat, how do I subsequently remove it so I don't hear it on playback?

Re: Removing click track
Assuming that you have recorded it as a separate track, and not incorporated it, just delete it by clicking on the little x in the top left hand corner of the track control box.
You should in theory just be able to mute it temporarily with the track mute button - but IIRC there is an Audacity bug that exports muted tacks - even though they don't play (this may be fixed in th later Beta 1.3 versions, but I have no experience of this)

Re: Removing click track
You're correct, WC. New versions of Audacity (starting with 1.3.4) no longer export muted tracks along with the rest of the project. Earlier versions did.
