Speed changes when pasting

Why does the speed of my recording change when I paste it into another audio file?

Probably because the sample rates don't match up.
Once you have all the audio files imported into your project, individually highlight the ones that are at a different sample rate (the sample rate is listed underneath the track name) and click project -> quick mix or tracks -> resample. That will change the sample rates so they all conform. Make sure you repeat this for each track that's not correct, if you try to do them all at once everything will be mixed together into one track.
