Extending play time?

Post by asanchez_hb » Thu Nov 05, 2009 11:15 pm

I want to use a doorbell for a sound effect in an upcoming show, but the doorbell I want to use cuts a little bit short at the end...how could I elongate this so that it doesn't sound so cut off?

Thanks for your help.

Did the recording of the doorbell end before the sound of the doorbell completely died out, or is the doorbell sound just too short?

Try Effect > Change Tempo with a negative value - this will make the sound longer without affecting the pitch.

If the recording was cut off, you could, after changing the tempo, use Effect > Fade Out.
