8ch wave file recording

Post by pesm01 » Tue Jun 16, 2009 2:18 pm

Hej
I have an 8ch soundcard (presonus) and want to make a 8ch recording and save it as an 8ch (mulitple track) wave file.
Is this possible, and how. I'm only able to save it as 8 separate wave tracks !

No experience of this device myself - but there have been shed-loads of postings about Presonus - try using the Search function at the top right of the Forum window.

I have searched the postings, but can't find anything.
I'm now working with a trial version of soundforge 9. It's working well. Recording 8channels and saving it as one 8ch wave file.

That's the function i'm searching for in audacity.

Is it not possible?
