I removed your email address. Providing a live email on the forum is dangerous as we are a spam magnet. Past that, this is a forum not a help desk, so we like to keep the dialog visible so everybody can see it.

I can tell you how to run Audacity, but the rest of the sound system is up to you.

If you're on a Windows laptop like a large number of people seem to be, then you should probably connect your mixer to the laptop with a good quality stereo USB adapter such as the Behringer UCA202.

This gets around the problem that most Windows laptops are missing a stereo connection. Mic-In doesn't work for this.

After that is connected, you should start Audacity and look for:

Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices > Recording > [X] USB Audio Codec (select).

Press record and Audacity should be recording your mixer's show. If you plug the USB device into the computer after you start Audacity, the connection will be invisible. You may not be able to hear it, but if you have blue waves and a bouncing red sound meter, the recording is being made.

Many beginners go into this with the idea of creating a vast, full-on, multi-guest, Skype, music and production podcast. It might take a while to build up to that because all those features can change depending on your computer and what you want the show to sound like. It's good to nail down that list before you start buying equipment.
