gaps in recording

gaps in recording

i recorded a dj set onto my laptop (hp pavilion dv8) but there were jumps in the finished recording. what am i doing wrong

Can you see the gaps in the blue waves? When the cursor plays over a flat space, does the sound vanish? If there are no flat spaces in the blue waves, then you have a good show capture, but a playback problem.

If there are visible holes in the blue waves, then you got a bad recording. Has this ever worked?

there are no flat spaces in the waves. there are just parts of the recording missing with no visible spaces where the gaps are

Did you cut together a bunch of captures or sound clips? Are you sure this is one continuous recording beginning to end? Did you Save Project at the end of your edit?

Did you Export As WAV, too, by any chance?

yes i did save the edit and i exported as wav
