Hi there,
Can you record extra tracks (layer tracks)
while hearing the first (or other) track playing back at the same time?
I'm using Audacity version 1.2.3
I've searched the forum and FAQ's to no avail
Would appreciate some guidance from those
who are experienced with this program
Cheers,
Tonenslap

Go to Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O and click on the tick box that says "play other tracks while recording new one"

Yeah, but only simple when you know where to find it - as you now do - glad to have helped.

Hi,
Using 1.3.7 in OVERDUB mode it's recording the first track again (dubbing) and the new input onto the second track. Any way I can just listen to the first track while recording the second?
Appreciate a suggestion.
