Audacity and Versa Port from American Audio

I can't seem to get sound into Audacity on my computer. Could it be the needle? It's a Stanton 505. Thanks.

Audacity 1.2/1.3?

Does the Versa Port work? Is it recognised by your operating system?
Have you selected it in Audacity (Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/O) ?

It absolutely is recognized. I selected it in the menu that you mentioned, too. I even have the versa port control panel running in the background
