Should I Mic My Amp Or Use Lightsnake

This problem has been bugging me because when i mic it i get a lot of feed back which is hard to get out and when i use the lightsnake its really quiet and when i amplify it it creates feedback so any advice

im useing a samson r10s mic and a light snake pluged in through my drive cd200 amp

im trying to get a classic acdc type feel in my guitar so if you have answers id love to hear them
