Start Recording from Command Line

Post by erhowell » Mon Nov 18, 2013 2:12 am

Is there any way to start a recording from a command line? I have a need to schedule a start recording at a specific time. End recording can be manual.

Thanks

Eric

The timer start function is great when someone is around to set it up each time. What I am trying to do is to start the recording on a predetermined schedule without operator intervention because I have operators who forget to start the recording. I even have a popup window come up to tell them to start record but it typically is hidden behind another window and they don't notice it in the task bar.

It would be far more simple to use a command line program (such as SoX (http://sox.sourceforge.net/)
