Recording LPs to digital

Post by klanger » Tue Dec 02, 2008 11:06 pm

Having just bought a USB connectable turntable and using Audacity, how can I record tracks separately so that when played back through DVD I can FORWARD each track individually? At the moment I can only FORWARD from one album to the next.

While the captured album is on the timeline, place a label (Control-B or Apple-B) at the beginning of each individual clip that you want. When you're finished, File > Export Multiple will produce individual sound files of your work based on the labels. Remember where the label has to be to get song #1.

Production oddities are at the beginning and the end. To sheer off the two groove noise segments, make each noise a song. Ignore the first and last song in each export.
