MULTIPLE RECORDING IN AUDACITY?

Post by kai wharton » Thu Nov 20, 2008 10:12 pm

Hello I was wondering if I hook up two turntables via my m audio 410 firewire in the avaiable ports, and be able to recored simultaneosly into audacity from the respective sources, or will I have to get another program to do this. A multitrack recording audio software program like logic, etc. I have a feeling it doesn't because the i/o preferences are only mon and one stereo. Please advise. TY!

I think it's a USB problem. I got a M-Audio Fast Track Pro, which mixes down two channels. The way the guys at Guitar Center explained it is that Windows only wants touse the USB source if it's plugged in. When I ran out of channels, I added a 4 channel Behringer mixer piggy backed.
