reduce recording level on karaoke import
using karaoke recordings , how do I reduce recording level on the music so that the music sound is not over powering the vocals that I add using Audacity ?

So you're really complaining about low microphone volume? Typically, you would put the music and vocals on different tracks, adjust the levels (and sync) as appropriate listening to your sound system, and then combine the timeline into one track. Export as needed.
If you're trying to do it all "live," then you have a serious uphill battle. It's really rough to sing and mix at the same time.
